Lost benedictions in mystical tongue
Pale, yellowed lexis of heroes unsung
Testaments faded, and parchments undone
All corporeal legends forgotten become
Breastplate allegiances bellowing
Brothers in arms and in song
Our voices may fail
But our spirits prevail
Through the dynasties
Now our sagas fade gently in unison
Grant us strength as we vanish from sight
And this is the last time
We'll all be together
So lend me your voices tonight
Son, let me cleanse you
Of the crimes of your brothers
We'll sift through the ages,
Through monsters and men.
We shall sanctify some and crucify others
And the breath of the ancients
Shall spill forth again.
Breastplate allegiances bellowing
Brothers in arms and in song
Our voices may fail
But our spirits prevail
Through the dynasties
Now our sagas fade gently in unison
Grant us strength as we vanish from sight
And this is the last time
We'll all be together
So lend me your voices tonight
Blessed the bondage of Providence
The icons slip shapelessly through
And how many lifetimes must wash through these walls
Before they disintegrate too
But our humours still pulse through these corridors
And our dust through the groundwaters churn
And in this, our finest hour we shall return
