From "Sleepy Hollow: The Rock Opera"
Tobias: Good morning, Dame Hedrick!
Dame Hedrick: Tobias, it's 9 am. We're a tavern. We're not open yet.
Tobias: But Brom told us to meet him right here.
Clocky: And besides, the sign says you're open!
Dame Hedrick: Clocky, just because you turn the sign around doesn't mean we're open.
Clocky: Well, we're supposed to wait for Brom right here.
Dame Hedrick: Brom this, Brom that. What do you boys see in that Brom anyways
Tobias:
He's intelligent
Clocky:
And gentle as a dove
Tobias:
Sophisticated
Clocky:
Reticent
Both:
And none of the above
Tobias:
But he gets the job done our way
With a spitball and a shove
Clocky:
Should any wag half-cross his boys
"Sir Brom" throws down the glove, everytime.
Tobias and Clocky:
We are the Mr. Bones Band
Life ain't fair so share a sideways wink
'Cause in the chain of command
You're only as weak as the strongest link
Dame Hedrick: Well, speak of the Devil.
Clocky: Brom, it's about time.
Brom: Shut up and give me a beer.
Dame Hedrick: We're not open yet.
Brom: The sign says you're open.
Dame Hedrick: Clocky!
Clocky: Brom!
Brom: Shut up. We gotta talk.
Brom:
It's yesterday
I'm on my morning ride
I swing by the Van Tassel Farm
And who should be outside
But that infernal teacher Ichabod
With a smile ten miles wide
He tells he's expected
And would I step aside
Dame Hedrick:
Win some and lose some
Katrina could choose someone else
Far more gruesome than Ichabod Crane
Tobias:
No! You're not about to
Give your girlfriend out to
The first scrawny lout who invades your domain!
Tobias and Clocky:
We are the Mr. Bones Band
Life is nice when bad advice is free
'Cause when you're someone's right hand
The other hand puts out like a giving tree
Tobias:
He's intelligent
Clocky:
And gentle as a dove
Tobias:
Sophisticated
Clocky:
Reticent
Both:
And none of the above
Brom:
But I get the job done my way
With a spitball and a shove
Especially when some pedagogue
Tries messing with my love!
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
